I am in need of a parent to watch the class on November 2nd from 1:00 to 2:40. All the 2nd and 3rd grade teachers will be in a workshop here at school during that time. If you could watch the class, please email me. Thanks!!!
This year we will celebrate "Pumpkin Day". Would you like to volunteer to send in a food with pumpkin in it? Here are some ideas: pumpkin bread, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin butter, pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, spiced pumpkin seeds, etc. We will have a pumpkin snack tasting during the afternoon of this special day. Also, if you'd be willing to donate a pumpkin, please do so! We are in need of five. Just send it in whenever you get a chance! Pumpkin Day will be next Wednesday, October 26th! We will use the pumpkins to learn about measurement, perimeter, and multiplication.
To celebrate the Blue Ribbon School honor that our school has achieved, Friday, November 4th will be Blue Ribbon Day. Before this day, the students will receive the new blue t-shirt, which should be worn on that day. Also, all students should bring a lunch from home as we will be having class picnics on the lawn. As a special treat, children will get Blue Bell Ice Cream. After that, we will have a special chapel in the Lower School gym where students will watch a film about our school and thank the Lord for all his many blessings. You are invited to join in the festivities and fun!
