Reading Counts: I will have a pizza party for any students in my homeroom who earn 150 Reading Counts points by the end of the second quarter (December 20th). Kalina, Christian, Isabel, Danielle, and Alexia have reached this goal! Congratulations! We will have the party when we return from Christmas break.
Bible: none this week
Math: We will continue Chapter 6 called "Geometry." We are skipping Chapter 5 for now, but we will come back to it, so please do not throw away the Chapter 5 workbook pages. Students have been told to keep the pages in their workbooks. This week we will finish lesson 6-1 on geometric terms, and then complete lessons 6-2 on angles and 6-3 on circles. There will be a quiz over each lesson the day after the lesson. In class I will give students examples of the type of question that will be on the quiz. Also, I have created a notes page that students will be filling out in class and that they should use to help them study for the quizzes.
Tues. - Quiz on Lesson 6-1
Wed. - Quiz on Lesson 6-2
Thur. - Diagnostic Checkpoint 6A
XtraMath: I am so proud of all the students for how well they are doing with XtraMath and memorizing their math facts. Twenty-six students have passed all four levels of the three second threshold. Of those 26, five are also finished with all four levels of the two second threshold and are now working on the 1.5 second threshold. They are Bradley A., Danielle R., Kalina R., Charles M., and Josh H. WAY TO GO!!!!
