I have enjoyed working with this very intelligent group of third graders. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to teach your children and be a part of their lives. I feel very blessed each day to work with such caring, sweet children! :) Brenda
Thank you so much to all the parents who came out and helped with Field Day! A big thanks to Alana Sanders (Cam's mom) for getting the water guns and popsicles. The water gun fight we had at lunch time was a great way to cool off in the heat! Thank you to Teresa Mercer for loaning us the cooler FULL of ice! Thank you to Christy Mullen for directing many of the games! Thank you to Carmen DeYoung for all the organization and for loaning us the tent for shade! Great fun was had by all the students!
Our Banana Split Party to celebrate learning the multiplication facts will be May 22nd at 11:00. Thank you to all the parents who are so willingly donating items.
Yearbooks: All of third grade will be able to sign yearbooks on Tuesday so make sure your child brings his/her yearbook back to school that day.
Honors Chapel: The 4th Quarter Honors Chapel is Monday, May 21st in the Eckburg Center at 1:30. At this chapel students who will receive 4th Quarter Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, and Headmaster's List will be recognized. We hope to see you there!
The End of the Year Honors and 5th Grade Recognition Chapel will be Thursday, May 24th at 10:15 in the Eckburg Center. At this chapel students who received some type of honor roll for all four quarters will be recognized with a yearly honors certificate. Fifth grade students will also be recognized.
Our end of the year party will be on Friday, May 25th at 11:00.
Monday is a full day of school. Students must wear uniforms unless they have NUT cards. Tuesday through Friday are 1/2 days and free NUT days. Students will be dismissed at 11:45.
Type to Learn: Children will continue Type to Learn the first 30 minutes of each day. It is taught by Dell Cone (our media assistant) in the computer lab. It will continue every day until the last day of school.
Reading: We will meet one more time on Monday to wrap up the book.

Language: We are focusing on applying what we have learned in our writing.
Writing: Students will be working on creating a voice in their writing.
Math: The Chapter 11 Test will be Monday, May 21st. We will then work on some measurement activities.
