Xtra Math: Please remember to have your child do Xtra Math Monday though Friday. This is a daily homework assignment. If your computer crashes, etc., please just send me a note so your child can be excused for that night's practice.
The next reading challenge is to get to 250 Reading Counts points. Those that make that goal get to spend the night in the library and have a blast. There are games in the gym, board games and crafts in the library, and computer games and face painting in the computer lab. There will be tons of pizza and snacks. Everyone gets donuts for breakfast. I think almost everyone in my class is going to make it. They are doing such a fantastic job of reading. So far these students already have 250 or more Reading Counts points: Emelia, Noah, Jonathan, Jack, Ellie, Caroline, Dhruv, Keniyah, and Alayna. There are a bunch more students who are very close!
Students should be reading their informational books. This would include any nonfiction Reading Counts book or combination of books totaling four or more points. Students should have read and taken the tests on the book(s) by this Friday, March 22nd.
Reading: We will begin reading Everything on a Waffle this week. Look for the parent letter, a sign up sheet to make and bring in a food item, and the first vocabulary list. Vocabulary Test 1 is March 25th.
