Standandized Testing will take place every day this week. A good night's sleep and healthy breakfast go a long way to helping each child perform at his or her peak. Thanks for all you do at home to help your child be at his or her best!
Jack Hawkins, Noah Eastman, Ellie McDole, Alayna Wilson, and Emelia Dixon who represented our class won the Third Grade Quiz Bowl! We are so proud of them!!
Xtra Math: Please remember to have your child do Xtra Math Monday though Friday. This is a daily homework assignment. If your computer crashes, etc., please just send me a note so your child can be excused for that night's practice.
The next reading challenge is to get to 250 Reading Counts points. Those that make that goal get to spend the night in the library and have a blast. There are games in the gym, board games and crafts in the library, and computer games and face painting in the computer lab. There will be tons of pizza and snacks. Everyone gets donuts for breakfast. I think almost everyone in my class is going to make it. They are doing such a fantastic job of reading. So far these students already have 250 or more Reading Counts points: Emelia, Noah, Jonathan, Jack, Ellie, Caroline, Dhruv, Keniyah, Alayna, and Ty. There are a bunch more students who are very close!
Students need to choose any chapter book on their grade level and have it approved by me. Students should read the book and take the Reading Counts test on the book by May 3rd.
